Today we are going to tackle the themes you have on your site. Most likely you have a few themes on your site that you are just not using. So why keep them around, as long as you have the files to re-install the theme at a later date or can re-download the theme there is no reason not to delete them and to get them off your site.
To get to the themes you will want to go to Appearance -> Themes from the left side menu in WordPress. This will get you to where all the themes that are saved to your site. The current theme in use will be the first theme you see on the top right of all themes and will be marked with an ‘Active’. The rest of the themes there are not in use, unless the Active theme is a child theme of one of the other themes. So you will need to make sure that it is not before you delete the parent theme. A child theme uses the information from the parent theme so if you delete the parent theme the child theme will not work anymore.
To delete a theme you can clock on the ‘Theme details’ this will bring up a pop up of the theme, there you are given options to see a Live Preview, to activate this theme or to delete. To delete all you need to do is to click on the delete option and then click on the ‘ok’ to delete the theme.
Your homework now is to get rid of the unused themes on your site.
